Robert Scheinbaum concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and bankruptcy/insolvency, and his academic and professional background provides him with an intense interest and competitive advantage in matters involving financial analyses and valuations. He attended Cornell University on a National Merit Scholarship and obtained a B.A. degree in Economics in 1989. Prior to law school, he spent two years in the field of actuarial consulting. While at University of Pennsylvania Law School, he served as an Associate Editor of the Comparative Labor Law Journal. He has been practicing law since 1994 and is admitted to state and federal bars of New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia. From 1999 to 2001, Robert served as the Vice President and General Counsel of a Washington, D.C.-based business intelligence firm and, in that capacity, provided analysis and advice to a vast array of clients, including venture capital investors, political advocacy groups and private investigation firms.

Robert has co-authored numerous articles in the field of bankruptcy law. Since 2002, he has served as an Assistant Editor of the Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice treatise, and currently edits the chapters on Corporate Governance and the duties of directors and officers in the various stages of a corporation's solvency.
